The Words We Carry
Language, perspective, and choice in everyday life.
A four-week online workshop series for women
Tuesdays, October 27–November 17, 2026
7:00 p.m. ET | Live online
The words we use carry more than their definitions. They carry expectations, assumptions, experiences, and ideas about who we are and how we are supposed to move through the world.
Some of those words fit. Some have followed us for years. Others may be shaping our choices in ways we have never stopped to consider.
The Words We Carry is a four-week workshop series for women who want to take a closer look at our language and what might change when we become more intentional about the words, expectations, and assumptions we carry with us.
Through structured learning, guided reflection, conversation, and practical exercises, we'll look at the words and assumptions that influence how we think about ourselves, our boundaries, our success, and what comes next.

Four weeks. Four conversations.
October 27 — Powerful Language for Powerful People
Explore the labels you use for yourself and what changes when you describe characteristics as capacities rather than limitations.
November 3 — “No” Is a Complete Sentence
Examine boundaries, commitments, capacity, and the language surrounding what you agree to take on.
November 10 — Define Your Success
Separate external measures of success from the measures that actually reflect your values and priorities.
November 17 — Who Says You Should?
Look at the expectations, norms, and assumptions behind “should”—and decide which ones still belong in your life.
This is a workshop, not a lecture.
Each session combines structured learning with individual reflection, practical exercises, and conversation. You will have opportunities to consider the ideas in the context of your own life without being expected to share anything you would rather keep private.
You do not need to arrive with a problem solved or a major decision to make. Come ready to pay attention to the language you use, question some assumptions, and experiment with different ways of seeing your choices.
